Familiar Landscapes - 4x5 - Silver gelatin contact print of ambrotype, part of larger series documenting the land that I grew up on in Bremo Bluff, VA.
Empire State At Twilight - 4x5 - A twilight exposure that captures the lights of the Empire State Building as they come on after sunset. 8 minute exposure.
The Dying Sea Project - 10x12
The Negev Desert with Roman Temple - 10x12
Motorcyclecity Courtyard - 8.66 x 8.66 - This Collodion picture is not made with collodion on location. I use a different technique, it is made with an enlarger. I think this is really the modern way do to it. I can make collodion print from every picture i've ever took and the greyscale is so much more natural. I don't get these hard ortochromatic results, especially with portraits.
Clear Cutting - 5x7 - Working in -5 degrees celcius for this image. 15 sec exposure. When I left the plate in the tray to rinse, the water froze and the ice scratched a bit of the emulsion.
Ode to Borut - 4x5 - About a 15 second exposure on my first on-location trek of Wetplate adventure, all thanks to Borut Peterlin for the inspiration to get out and explore the world of Collodion, hence the title
Standing Tall - 5x7 - This plate was about 45 seconds of exposure.
Jones Lake - 8x10 - About 1min 45 sec exposure on this one, on a very dark cloudy typical BC weather day
Singly - 8x10
The Flow of Time - 6.5x8.5 - Front rise to blue and vignette the top of the plate. - Front tilt to gain depth of field. - 8 minute exposure to emphasis the flow of the cascading falls.
A View into the Future - 6.5x8.5 - Long focal length lens to enlarge the background subject in relationship to the foreground so they fit nicely together.
View from atop the Niagara Gorge, 2017 - 6.5x8.5
Sandpit, Horsell Common - 5x7
Windows- 30x32 - 8th & Lavaca, Austin, TX - 12-plate assemblage of 8x10s - This is part of a much larger series titled "Windows".
Ole Barn - 5x7 - Homemade Chemicals, 1880 Rochester camera with a T. H. McAllister lens. I like leaving my glass back unpainted and using black cloth instead gives the image more depth.
388467157 - 7x7 - This image was made in Alviso, CA using my mobile darkroom and an 8x10 view camera. This image is a part of a series I'm creating called "Human Nature" that includes images that reflect human involvement in manipulating the natural world.
